Small home and artist studio. 2015. Sustainable, affordable, livable.
An adventure in "Shack-itecture". A small home and studio oriented to take full advantage of the sun with views to an endless everchanging sky.
The clerestory windows provide cross ventilation and escape for hot air in summer. Walls are constructed from structural insulated panels with a recycle timber, board and batten style cladding. Exterior windows and doors are double glazed. The roof system and slab are insulated. A sliding wall panel separates sleeping and living zones.
This design was developed from modelling conducted in Second Life. Interior collaboration with Jaysun Dagger.
